Anytime I do a giveaway or review, I will make it clear whether or not I was either provided a product for review, or compensated in any other way.  I don’t base my reviews on the fact that I was provided with free stuff. However, you should take my reviews in the proper light: I was provided with freebies! This tends to make a person want to be nice, even if it’s just small stuff. Reviews and giveaways done for third parties are advertising, and should be understood as such by the reader.

I promise to tell the unvarnished truth as I see it–good, bad, and indifferent. Your experience with any given product may vary.

If I can’t find anything good at all to say about a product or service, I’ll tell the sponsor so, and not do the review or giveaway. This has only happened to me once, on my old blog, but it does happen.

I won’t do pay per post, paid “reviews”, or advertorials. I do, however, post paid ads by third parties from time to time, often in conjunction with unpaid reviews and giveaways. Paid ads will always be clearly marked as advertisements and posted in the sidebar, not published as blog posts. I hope we can all live with that arrangement.
