UNREAL Candy: UNJUNK Your Fun

I’ll bet you thought all that stuff you’ve been snitching from your kids’ Halloween stashes every November 1st was a treat, didn’t you? Well it’s not. It’s a dirty trick, and I can prove it!

I, along with some of my favorite people in the whole world (though not too many, because I wanted a bite for myself), have had the pleasure of sampling some candies that go by the name UNREAL, though they’re the realest things I’ve had in a while.

Imagine a caramel-nougat chocolate bar that has enough actual chocolate in it to coat your mouth with flavor instead of soybean oil. Candy-coated pieces that have tastefully muted colors, rather than garish primary colors, because they’re not made with artificial food colorings. Peanut butter cups that have a satisfying flavor, instead of too-sweet, too-salty “peanut butter” filling. Really, you need to try this candy!

Besides just plain tasting good, UNREAL candies claim to have 30% less sugar, 60% more fiber, and 250% more protein than many comparable brands. And all of that is at a price that is competitive with the cheap junk we’ve been used to. UNREAL is on a mission, not only to sell their own candies, but to teach other companies that it is possible to make better-for-you, better-tasting foods, without costing consumers a fortune to do so.

I’ll definitely be looking for UNREAL candies from now on when I go candy shopping. (Oh, who am I kidding? Candy is never on my list, and I don’t really shop for it. It just calls to me from the candy aisle, and I’m helpless to resist.) I might just be spoiled for the other stuff now. UNREAL candies can be found at many major retailers, such as Walgreens, CVS, and Michaels, so be looking for the UNREAL label next time you go out.

Sounds great! Maybe if I buy this once in a while my children will stop referring to me as a “hyper-health nut” (said lovingly, of course).

That sounds fabulous!!! I think we might need to check that out! We always end up buying candy at Halloween, even though no one comes to our house. :) Now I will be excited to have some “extra” candy lying around. :)

Go for the peanut butter cups! If I were you, I’d leave the porch light off. You don’t want to give it away to strangers. Trust me.
