Febreze Home Collection Review and $15 Wal-Mart Gift Card Giveaway (Closed)

When I walked in the door after grocery shopping this morning, my first thought was “Gosh, my house smells pretty!” My second thought was, “Oh, dear! I have a review to write!”

My surprise at the scent of my house wasn’t because it usually smells bad. It usually smells like I’m cooking or else it is unscented. I don’t do scents, as a rule, because you can’t beat the scent of freshly baked bread, and air fresheners are usually either too expensive to keep around (without driving yourself nuts couponing), or too dangerous to keep around small children. But when MyBlogSpark offered me some Febreze Home Collection scents to try out, I couldn’t resist. It’s free stuff, after all.

I was given a Febreze Flameless Luminary with 3 different scents: Cranberry Pear (my favorite), Willow Blossom, and Cherry Blossom Whimsy (A bit cloying. I’ve never really liked floral scents unless they come from real flowers.). This is a really unique way of freshening the air. It’s quite pretty, unlike most air fresheners, and much safer around my 18 month-old than a candle. Besides, who wants to have a candle heating things up in the middle of summer?

I was also sent a No-Spill Wood diffuser. This is also a brand new way of doing things, as far as I know. The cap is a wood block, and the scent soaks right through it. It takes several hours after opening the bottle for it to really start smelling the place up, but when it does, it’s lovely! Also a great idea for families with small children and pets, but I’d still keep this out of reach, since the oil is an eye irritant.
